How can we help parents release guilt and shame?
Join Dr. Adena Blickstein, founder of the Attunement Model of Care, for a refreshing look at what is missing in mental health treatment for children and families today, and how we can be the change. This one hour virtual workshop is perfect for healthcare providers, educators, community leaders and parents who want to raise mentally, emotionally, socially thriving and resilient children.
Children today face new challenges, including increased caregiver stress and technology addiction.
Nearly 20% of children and young people ages 3-17 in the United States have a mental health disorder. That is 1 in 5 children.
Suicidal behaviors among high school students increased more than 40% in the decade before 2019.
Mental health challenges were the leading cause of death and disability in this age group. These trends were exacerbated during the COVID-19 pandemic (according to the National Libaray of Medicine)

We believe that attunement is the
most powerful medicine
we can give to our children.
After 15 years in the field as a pediatric psychiatrist, I know how challenging it is to work with families. Watching the same children return again and again to the hospital was heartbreaking. Over time, I developed a method for treating child mental illness that goes beyond anything I was taught in school. For the last 5 years I have seen my patients sustainably heal, with or without medication, by utilizing the Attunement Model of Care. This unique approach challenges the idea of the child as the designated patient and instead, primarily treats the parents by supporting them to become attuned nurturers.
I'm thrilled to share this methodology far and wide because I truly believe this is the beginning of a whole new paradigm for mental health. Children deserve an attuned world and it starts with us. Thank you for being here, and I can't wait to see you in the workshop!

The Attunement Model of Care (AMC) is an evidence-based, trauma-informed, preventive mental health intervention designed to strengthen family relationships and reduce the risk of psychiatric illness in children.
Clinically studied with children ages 6–16 experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and borderline traits, the model has demonstrated that increasing parental attunement directly decreases child reactivity. This creates resilience, emotional stability, and long-term mental health benefits.
Let's create a world where children naturally thrive.
